Why Doctors Recommend Raising the Upper Body to Reduce Acid Reflux

From weight loss, to exercise, to following a blander diet, their theories have helped (if not cured) thousands of suffering patients.     • Talk to your doctor about medication that can reduce acid reflux.
    • Consider Tums or a soothing substance (certain mints, milk, vanilla pudding, etc.) after a spicy meal.
    • Get a full check up to evaluate any esophagus damage. (Depending on one’s medical history and frequency of acid reflux attacks, there might be an underlying issue, such as a previous sickness or an esophageal disorder.)
